Introducing the inaugural Rise AV Awards, which celebrate the talent, achievements, and trailblazing contributions of women in the AV industry worldwide, highlighting the importance of representation in a male-dominated field. By showcasing women who are leading, innovating, and breaking barriers, these awards aim to inspire, attract, and retain the next generation of talent. We also recognise exceptional individuals of any gender and companies making a tangible impact in supporting diversity and inclusion.

Celebrating Talent Across Every Corner of AV

The Rise AV Awards are open to professionals and organisations across the commercial AV, production and live events sectors — including manufacturers, distributors, integrators, consultants, freelancers, event agencies, rental and production companies, and end users (and anything in between).

With broad, inclusive categories, the awards welcome entries from technical, creative, commercial, operational and leadership roles, ensuring that women from all areas of the industry - and the allies and organisations supporting them - have the opportunity to be recognised for their impact, innovation and contribution.

The Categories

Applications will open in September 2026.

The shortlist will be announced at ISE 2027 in Barcelona.

The event will take place alongside the Peerless AV Showcase at Lord’s Cricket Club in London; more details, tickets, and sponsorship opportunities will be available soon.

Early Careers Award

Celebrating students, apprentices, graduates or early-career professionals making an outstanding start in AV, production or live events.

Rising Star Award

Recognising an emerging professional demonstrating exceptional potential, impact and progression in the early stages of their career (up to four years)

Technical Excellence Award

Honouring outstanding achievement in engineering, systems, sound, lighting, integration or technical delivery across AV, production and live events.

Creative Visionary Award

Recognising excellence in creative, experiential or design-led work, including lighting, systems, product or experiential design.

Operational Excellence Award

Celebrating behind-the-scenes professionals whose organisation, leadership and delivery are critical to project success and team safety.

Product Innovation Award

Recognising innovation in AV products, platforms or solutions, highlighting women shaping the future of AV technology.

Leadership in AV Award

Recognising a woman who demonstrates exceptional leadership, influence and mentorship — regardless of job title or company ownership.

Business Leader of the Year

Celebrating a woman who has founded, led or grown a business in the AV, production or live events sector.

Independent Professional of the Year

Honouring an outstanding freelancer or independent professional demonstrating excellence, resilience and commercial impact.

Sales Professional of the Year

Recognising excellence in sales, partnerships or commercial leadership ,driving business growth and client success.

Marketing & Communications Professional of the Year

Celebrating excellence in marketing, brand, communications or audience engagement within the AV industry.

Advocate & Allyship Award

Open to all genders, recognising an individual who actively champions inclusion, equity and opportunity for women in AV.

Company Award for Investment in Women

Recognising an organisation that demonstrates meaningful, measurable commitment to attracting, developing and retaining women in the AV industry through inclusive policies, leadership, and investment.

Rise AV Woman of the Year (Judges’ Award)

A special award recognising an extraordinary woman whose significant impact, contributions, influence, and leadership have had a profound impact in 2026.
